OK, very good. I'm going to go ahead and kick off the call and introduce Vani Mishra. She is our product manager. And today we're going to be talking about the newest release of erwin Data Modeler, Mart in the cloud.
I believe all of the microphones were supposed to be muted. And of course, we encourage questions. But if during the presentation, if everybody could make sure that their microphones are muted, that would be wonderful. And hopefully we'll have time for some Q&A at the end. Vani, would you like to go ahead and get started?
Sure, [? Nicky ?] Thank you so much.
Thank you.
So good morning and good afternoon, everyone. Thanks for joining today's webinar. It's a very quick one because my purpose of this webinar is to give you the most [? reading ?] SaaS version of Mart, Mart On Cloud as [? Nicky ?] said. So that came up with erwin Data Modeler 12.1.
So let's see what else we have there. So I would like to get started. Before I get into 12.1, I thought it's important that I give you a recap of our earlier release which was erwin Data Modeler 12.0, which came earlier this year. And the main highlights of that release, if you did not attend my previous webinar and you have not seen erwin DM 12.0 and still interested, the main highlight was on modeling side, on Data Modeler side was GitHub and few more on the model productivity.
So I will not have more time to go on detail. But GitHub is something you should look into it. Via Mart now you can do your constant development on your model. And still you will be able to share that with your application developers. So the way it works-- and if I have time, I will definitely share the flow diagram of GitHub.
The way it works, you have the model that your data model is working and changing. You're saving that work constantly in Mart. And now with GitHub integration, you can push that DDL as a full schema or as an auto script, just changes you made into GitHub. And you get into your Git environment, or your application developer can get into GitHub environment and they can see the changes have been made, or they can see the DDLs.
So they don't have to wait for DBAs. They don't have to wait for project management or approval or something. Constantly they are getting hold of-- changes have been made by data modeling teams. So that really is kind of a big-- or what you say, it's a big benefit for the team where they had blockage of DBAs or other team members who will be doing the approval, who will be looking into it. And it takes months or weeks just to look into the changes have been made.
The other important feature that you should look into is Snowflake tagging feature, if you are a Snowflake customer. Snowflake basically added this tagging feature year towards the end of last year in 2021, where you can create Snowflake tagging with entities, database rules, schemas, views, materials views, warehouse and staging. So now in erwin DM itself, you can create those tagging.
So it's very easy. You just click on tag option, and you create your tagging editor and get into and create the tags in the DM. And then you can-- because the tag by nature is a inherited property, you attach to a table and automatically all columns get set. So we are keeping the way the Snowflake has designed it. And you can also keep track of your sensitive data tracking so whatever way you would like to use it. So definitely something to look into for Snowflake customers.
The other important feature of 12 was Oracle Views' enhancements. So if your our Oracle customer and using erwin Data Modeler, Views had a limitation for many, many years that if you have joins or you have group statements and you are doing it by CT clauses, you end up in a view where you absolutely do not see any columns and no relationship with the tables that use are having objects coming from. So with this enhancement and fix, now Oracle Views have completely all the relationships lines coming to Views.
You can see all your statements, your user define statements. All that can be viewable or visible in erwin DM 12.0. So that's a big fix that if you're a good Oracle customer, definitely something to look into.
We did fix few things in data vault on the UI side. The other big thing we did was, I don't know if you guys can see my mouse at this point or not but new database support we added on. There are a bunch of NoSQL databases we added, including Neo4j, ArangoDB for graph databases. We also added DynamoDB. We added Amazon Keyspace. Google Bigquery was big in demand. And we also have Databricks.
So if you are-- if you are looking to build something new for your environment, definitely something to look into it. We made a few changes to the Mart side. So with that 12.0 was released. Then everybody was waiting for DM 12.1 and Mart On Cloud. So last week we released erwin Mart On Cloud. And I will be talking about that in a minute.
When we released erwin DM 12.1, there was a few things that they were-- the entire 12.1 focus was two things, little change on account based licensing, how to manage self managed accounts, your own accounts. So that is called account based licensing. So I will go over that, what it is.
And then the second was-- the talk was cloud, when is the Mart On Cloud coming in. So it released last Friday. And with this release, you can have Mart in two different flavors as the slide says. You can
