Using Enterprise Architecture to Overcome Data Silos

We mentioned data. Yep. Obviously, Erwin is well known as being a data company, and we're branching into data governance. Sure. And having our enterprise architecture [INAUDIBLE] really understand data as part of that domain. What issues are you seeing around data, and how is enterprise architecture helping you with that data issue? If there is an issue with data? I think the major challenge with data is how to make those data speak with each other. So because they stem from different systems. And as of now, I'm not the data specialize in [INAUDIBLE], that I can speak for himself, that what I hear is that how-- since we were talking about customer journey, we want to see how from the customer until the operation, what's happened to the data in between? And so far to build that picture, it's a bit challenging because there is a lot of interruptions. There is a lot of things that are not speaking to each other. Yes. Silo data, lots of silo data. Silo data, and even when they can speak together, who can actually make a sense of that? Yeah, interesting. Yeah, exactly. Very interesting challenge. So I think that's one of the focus of-- Yeah, that's, I think what we're looking at for this year, as well. So if you start to understand the end to end business process, or the value chain, and you start to understand where those data silos are, you can start to use the process to improve the data? Absolutely. And start to work out, do you really need that system or not? Or is it overlapping data? Does that data mean the same thing? And I think without the context of a process, that would be very difficult to do. But, it'll be interesting. Absolutely, and I think this is a focus for the company, as well, to making sure that they make the most of the data. Yeah. Absolutely.
